First of all, full disclosure...

I have made no secret of the fact that I never liked George W. Bush.

And, for whatever reasons, for now, I like Barack Obama.

Having said that...

The American voters gave George W. Bush eight years to bloat the deficit, shred the economy and alienate almost every other nation on the planet Earth.

Regardless of political or personal preference, it doesn't seem unreasonable to say that Obama deserves more than seven months to make any kind of headway in repairing that damage.
